Strengthening bilateral relations between the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA) and the People’s Republic of China.

The Chairman and CEO of LIA Dr. Ali Mahmoud Hassan has held a meeting with the Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Libya, H.E Liu Jian.
As China is considered one of 5P the permanent members of the Security Council at the United Nations.
This meeting comes in light of following up on the implementation of the positive results of the visit of the Libyan delegation headed by the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity to the People’s Republic of China at the end of May 2024 to attend the China-Arab Forum.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the LIA also touched on the importance of the role of the People’s Republic of China in supporting the investment Plan to reinvest frozen assets through its role as one of the permanent members of the Security Council.
For his part, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China expressed his government’s interest in this file and renewed their support for the efforts made by the Libyan Investment Authority.
